The iconic 19th-century arch of Valenzuela City, the Arkong Bato, is the centerpiece of a new linear park of the city. The historic arch was rehabilitated between 2021-22 and reinaugurated on February 18, 2022. The park, reclaimed from an adjacent and abandoned industrial complex, provides the ideal vantage point to appreciate the beauty and commanding presence of the arch. The park also hosts the relocated and restored monument of Captain Delfin Velilla, a local hero of the Philippine Revolution. The park is elevated and planted with flowering native trees and low-maintenance softscapes. It has different levels and textural treatments and is counterpointed by a gushing circular fountain at one end.
